Anitha Dixit

Anitha is an IIT M alum batch of ‘97, currently working as a product management executive in Fintech. At IIT, she was the recipient of the President of India Shankar Dayal Sharma Silver medal for all round excellence, in her graduating batch. She is trained in classical music and was the lead female vocalist in the institute band through all 4 years of her IIT tenure. She continues to perform in the Bay Area, in various genres including Bollywood, Classical, and as lead vocalist for Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi dance productions. She also composes music, with her most recent original compositions supporting  a staging of Girish Karnad’s Hayavadana. She is an avid theater enthusiast, and in her spare time, she supports local community theater as a performer, director as well as theater technologist.
