Bio-Sketch
I am a Professor and the Venky Harinarayan & Anand Rajaraman Faculty Fellow at the Computer Science and Engineering department at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. My research interests are in cryptography and generally, theoretical computer science. My work focusses mainly on post-quantum cryptography, notably, cryptography based on the hardness of lattice problems. More generally, I am interested in exploring mathematical structures that enable novel, advanced capabilities in cryptography, in the classical as well as quantum regime. I am fascinated by the interplay of structure and randomness that lies at the heart of cryptography, not unlike abstract expressionism!
I lead the Arvind Raghunathan Center for Theoretical CS, or aRtCS, to promote fundamental research in theoretical CS.
